Sonja Crisosto is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Oregon who has been practicing since 2016. She has a BS in Child and Family Studies and a Master’s of Social Work. Sonja identifies as ciswoman, Latinx/a, complex trauma survivor, and queer. Her approach includes using trauma informed practices and perspectives drawing from components of several different models and theories including Attachment Theory based interventions, harm reduction practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), components of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness practices Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Sonja offers a collaborative and sometimes curious approach with others as they work to understand emotions and patterns that have developed for various reasons. Together you will work to build on the skills you already have and use, everyone has skills! Sometimes our skills need to be further developed. Sonja would be honored to walk with you on your journey to more growth, change, and healing. Telling your story is just one of the ways you can offer yourself healing. Outside of work Sonja enjoys doing relaxing and fun activities with friends, being outside, going to the beach, hanging out with her cat, and going to plays and musicals.
